API Integrations Privacy Notice

This notice describes how Market Dwellings and HarperKellee (operated by the same owner) access and use data through third-party e-commerce platform APIs. This notice supplements our general Privacy Policy.

Platforms we integrate with

We use the official APIs of the following platforms to operate our shops:

- Etsy Open API (for our Market Dwellings and HarperKellee Etsy shops)
- Shopify Admin API (for marketdwellings.com and the Market Dwellings Brokerage Portal)
- Amazon Selling Partner API (for our Amazon Market Dwellings storefront)
- Google Gmail API (for our hello@marketdwellings.com customer support email)
- Meta Graph API (for Facebook and Instagram messaging on our brand pages)

What data we access

Through these APIs, we access:

- Orders placed on our own shops — including buyer name, shipping address, and order contents
- Buyer-to-shop messages sent through each platform's native messaging (e.g., Etsy Convos, Amazon Buyer-Seller Messaging)
- Our own shops' listings, shop settings, and fulfillment information

We do not access buyer payment methods, buyer passwords, or any data belonging to other shops.

How we use this data

- To fulfill customer orders (processing orders, preparing items for print, generating shipping labels)
- To respond to customer questions about their orders through each platform's native messaging channel
- To maintain internal business records required for tax and accounting purposes

Who sees this data

This data is accessed only by the shop owner and any authorized staff. Automated tools may be used internally to help the shop owner draft reply suggestions and organize incoming messages. Every outgoing reply to a customer is reviewed and approved by the shop owner before it is sent through the platform's standard seller interface. We do not send automated replies directly to buyers without human review.

Sharing with third parties

- We do not sell, rent, or disclose customer data to unrelated third parties for their own marketing use.
- We share shipping addresses with our shipping carriers (USPS, UPS, Spee-Dee) solely to deliver orders.
- We share order details with our production and printing vendors solely to fulfill orders.

Data retention

Order records and related customer communications are retained for business recordkeeping purposes, for up to seven years or as required by applicable law.

Data security

We protect customer data using industry-standard security practices, including encrypted storage, limited-access credentials, and secure transmission.

Your rights

Customers may request information about the data we hold about them, or request correction or deletion, by emailing hello@marketdwellings.com. We respond to verified requests within 30 days.
